How to Nourish Your Hair According to Your Curls?

Hair falls into different categories and based on your hair type, you might be facing a certain amount of confusion in deciding how to look after it. Good hair requires a lot of upkeep and good curls can be challenging too but if you know how to look after them, they can be stunning. The best thing to do in this scenario is to identify the kind of curls you have and nourish them according to the type of curl your hair showcases on a regular basis.

Wavy Hair – 2A, 2B, 2C

Wavy hair tends to be easy to handle but it is prone to frizzing with ease. Remember to keep your hands away from your hair since it tends to frizz it more easily too. Use plenty of anti-frizz and humidity protection conditioners and hair products developed specifically for it. Wavy hair also tends to have lose curls so you can define your curls with some curl creams too. Since it is such a mix, you might be tempted to often straighten your hair out too so be sure to use heat protection spray. Styling with heat dries hair out more easily and you will end up with split ends or dry hair because of it.

Curly Hair – 3A, 3B, 3C

This type of curly hair has an S shape to it and the curls are more defined, full bodied as well as prone to damage and frizzing caused by humidity. They need a lot of moisture too so be sure to deep condition your hair once a week. Products with natural oils like argan oil, olive oil, avocado oil and others like them are going to be your best friends. Get a silk wrap for your hair and keep your hair happy and healthy. Also ditch the hair brush and get a wide tooth comb that helps to detangle your curls without stressing your hair out.

Kinky Hair – 4A, 4B, 4C

Kinky hair is the type where the curls are extremely tight coils and they hair is quite fragile and soft. For this reason, they need to be moisturized on a daily basis. Lack of moisture can make hair appear tight and lead to a lot of breakage. Rich butters and natural oil products should be introduced into your hair care routine. Also use a diffuser instead of regular blow dryer and avoid products with petroleum, mineral oil or waxes in them since these can coat your hair and weight it down. Silk wraps are also great for kinky hair and you should avoid using a hair brush as well.

Curly hair is unique and you should love your hair, regardless of the hair type you have. If you invest the right amount of time in it, you hair will look stunning and amazing. Curly hair in particular has just as much power to wow people as straight hair does. Instead of damaging it with chemicals, weaves and more, just get your hair the care it needs and deserves and look after it to the best of your ability.
